Charles A. Boike, Associate Attorney at Simen, Figura and Parker, P.L.C., recently won a victory for his client, Bikes on the Brick, Inc., by having the IRS determine that Bikes on the Bricks, Inc. is exempt from Federal income tax under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The IRS also determined that Bikes on the Bricks, Inc., was qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers, or gifts under the applicable Code sections.
Attorney Charles Boike, who was recently authorized to practice in front of the IRS, prepared and filed form 1023 on behalf of his client, Bikes on the Bricks, Inc. Boike was able to get a tax-exempt determination for his client from the IRS within 61 days.
Bikes on the Bricks, Inc., hosts an annual three-day event in September in downtown Flint, Michigan called “Bikes on the Bricks.” The event has been hosted annually since 2012. The event celebrates the history of the motorcycle and motorcycle culture in America. Bikes on the Bricks is a free event that is open to the public.
